States, is one of the primary distributors of petroleum in the eastern and
mid-western portions of the United States. Buckeye manages over 6,200 miles
(10,000 km) of petroleum pipeline distribution in these areas, as well as over
100 truck loading terminals. Many of the pipelines follow historic Northeastern
railroadrights-of-way, and the firm is a surviving fragment of the former Penn
Central railroad.
